My Adviser Son Huynh (BL Advisory Group) has managed my investment portfolio and superannuation since 2015 well before the commencement of the Banking Royal Commission. With the detailed investment research, careful management and consistent face-to-face reviews over the years I have been very satisfied with the results produced; especially compared to my previous dealings with IOOF who I felt were charging excessively more and producing nowhere near the result(s) and service I have received since having been with the BL Advisory Group.

I have been with BL Advisory Group since April 2016 at the point when I was in need of and seeking professional financial advice that was/is in my best interests after a few very poor financial investment decisions that I had made over the years, prior.
My Adviser Son Huynh (Senior Financial Adviser) contacted me during the Banking Royal Commission, and straight after the Final Report was released in February 2019; given that I held ANZ Accounts/Superannuation for a lengthy number of years throughout my time during previous employment within the private sector. I was made aware that ANZ will have to pay compensation to approximately two million of their customers that were wrongly charged or for fees for advice/service that was not in members best interests.

During our years of employment, we both held superannuation across government funded schemes – Defined Benefit – and several retail accounts, such as Aon and OnePath (a company of ANZ). The latter two of which were established and held as a result of various employment arrangements during our working years.
Our Adviser Son Huynh and his team at BL Advisory Group contacted us during the hearings of the Banking Royal Commission (RC) and advised of its findings and that the misconduct uncovered could possibly relate to one (or more) of our super funds; and suggested steps to consider once the final recommendations are handed down by the Commissioner in February 2019.

I originally engaged BL Advisory Group for strategic advice regarding my investment portfolio, superannuation and income-stream pension matters.
During and shortly after the Banking Royal Commission had ended and the final report was handed down, I was visited by BL Advisory and it was brought to my attention that one of my previous superannuation investment providers, namely CBA’s Colonial First State was required to attend to hearings which is reported to have revealed that Colonial First State broke superannuation laws 15,000 times over several years. Given this and how close I am from retirement I feel I should have engaged a 100% privately-owned advice firm a long time ago to ensure I was provided with financial and investment advice that was appropriate for me and in my interests.
Given I have been treated with such personal care and attention to my situation and needs with regular contact, I highly recommend the advice and service of the team at BL Advisory Group.
